Solitice Eclipse, Winter is Here!

"This First Peek at Winter"

Bundled in our blankies, hood and hat snug in place,
the amphibious orchestra marks the night with its grace.
Perched in our chairs, my hubby and I, tip our heads to revere,
a sight not seen near, in hundreds of years.
As wonders would be, the clouds disappeared,
to reveal the beauty of our celestial sphere.
So perfectly hung, in the sky far above,
she soon took her cover, just as lovely as ever.
While darkness arrived, the stars came alive,
twinkling and falling, for all to imbibe.
Our eyes filled with splendor, our bones feeling chilled,
we wander inside to warm our cold little toes.
Now snug in our bed, just settled in,
we're ready for our first cozy sleep, of this winter.
Evenings like this are meant to be shared,
I hope you and yours, were equally paired.

For my darling husband, who gave up his warm chair, to usher in this new winter with me.

Christmas is Coming...

Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat... caroles playing in the background; little, white, chewy clouds bobbing up and down on a steamy sea of chocolate decadance; the inviting pine scent of the twinkling tree off in the corner; warmth from the orange and red flames flickering below the mantle; contently snuggled up close to my favorite person... does it get any better?

Don't let the Best Moments of life escape your notice. Appreciate all that you have.

During these hectic, stress filled days... slow down, enjoy life, pay attention to the little things... When the day is done look back. As the saying goes "Did you stop to smell the roses?"
